What We Believe

1. We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testament, to be the only infallible, inerrant Word of God: the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (II Peter 1:21, II Timothy 3:16,17)

2.We believe in one God, Creator of all things, and manifested as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (John 1:1, John 17:5, 1 John 5:7).

3.We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, having been conceived by the Holy Ghost born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven  and sits on the right hand of the Father. He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Acts 2:32,33, Hebrews 4:14,15).

4.We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe,  and receive  Jesus Christ. (Hebrew 9:22, I Corinthians 15)

5.We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4, 10:46, 9:6, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict men,  guide, instruct and empower  the believer for godly living and service (Hebrews  4:11-13). We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today within the church through His gifts (I Corinthians 12:8-11) and the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

6.We believe that man was created in the image of God, fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained (Titus 3:5).   We believe in the keeping power of God (Jude 24).

7.We believe in the evangelistic and missionary endeavor and the fact that Christ wants each member of His body to be a personal witness and the church to have a missionary vision to take the gospel into the world (Acts 1:8; St. Mark 16:15-18).

8.We believe that divine healing, divine health and deliverance from evil spirits (demon activities) are included in the atonement through the power of Jesus’ name (I Peter 2:24; James 5:14-16; St. Mark 16:17-

9.We believe that water baptism identifies us with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and that we should arise to walk in newness of life separated from worldly lust and sinful living (Colossians 2:12; Acts 1:11).

10.We believe in the personal, visible, physical coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the near future, in power and great glory.  (Acts 1:11).

11.We believe in the bodily resurrection ofboth the saved and the lost, the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishments.  (St. John 5:28, Revelation 20:15).

12.We believe that the giving of tithes and offerings is a scriptural principle and adhered to by New Testament Christians.  (Malachi 3:10, St. Luke 6:38, Deuteronomy 14:22).

In His Presence Family Worship Center is a non-denominational church subscribing to the Reformed Pentecostal theological posture.  “Reformed” because all its beliefs and doctrinal positions are taken directly from the scriptures and its beliefs that the scriptures are the infallible word of God.  “Pentecostal” because we have experienced the infilling of the Holy Spirit as it is recorded in Acts 2:4. In His Presence Family Worship Center is a full gospel church with  a power pulpit, it is a church flowing in worship and praise and in the manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
